6 months

Have not been able to blog much but here are some recent pictures of Ellis Ann. She is 6 months now and is absolutely adorable. In these pictures she is actually wearing an outfit I wore when I was her age:) I came home to get her one day and my mom had it on her. Kinda neat. Hopefully more posts to come soon!

5 months and Easter

This is what Ellis Ann has been up to........Her smile has changed, and it is the BEST smile. She used to always smile with her mouth wide open, like she was trying to laugh. Now she smiles with her whole face and it is beautiful. It is hard to catch it good because the camera is delayed but here are some glimpses of that big smile.


We had a crazy day Easter and didn't take many pictures. But Monday we took Ellis Ann and sat her in a field of clover (HUGE clover, biggest I've ever seen) and took some "Easter" pictures.
Of course, we had to get some pictures of her and Smooches. We were worried how Smooches would do because she doesn't like kids and she would be jealous...but she has been GREAT...she is protective, she even barks when she cries, which is annoying but sweet.



Ellis Ann is also loving the exersaucer.

This picture is from "A Day with Aunt La" riding the gator. I wanted to do a whole blog post on this day, but never had the time.
She loves bath time and so does Daddy.
She is sporting her sunglasses, which are hilarious but useful....and she is loving the warmer weather and being able to get outside! Please pause to take a second and look at that cow lick on her forehead! haha

Ellis Ann's Turkey Photo Shoot

I don't have our Easter pictures uploaded yet, but thought I would share some of our latest. Bradfield killed a turkey a couple weeks ago and was so excited to get a picture of Ellis Ann with "Her first turkey"

4 month dr. visit

Ellis Ann had her 4 month dr. visit on wednesday. My mom took her to the appointment and I met her there. When I got there they were having so much. She said Ellis Ann had been playing with the paper on the table and laughing at herself in the mirror and she was having a blast. But then the shots came, it was not so much fun. She got pretty darn upset and it was so sad.

Stats:
11 lbs 11 oz 25th percentile
26 in 95th percentile

She is a little girl and we were thinking she was gonna grow up to always be tiny. My mom even said that I was bigger than her at that age. But......she goes to the same ped. that I did and they pulled my old record and Ellis Ann is actually almost the exact same size as I was. She is only 4 oz smaller (but my appointment was like 2 weeks after my 4 month birthday)

She is a "little me"....:)

Fabulous Weekend!!!

Friday, we had dinner at my parents with some friends and family. My Aunt Wanda and Uncle Keith came and stayed the night. Ellis Ann had a great time with them. Aunt Wanda put Ellis Ann to sleep and then we stayed up till like 1:00 am playing Garbage. Good times.

We always love when Aunt Wanda and Uncle Keith visit. They are such special people to us!

Saturday.....Saturday was a GREAT day! Laurel came to visit. It was such a simple day with great "porch time". We literally rode around on the gator all day. Me, Laurel, and Ellis Ann.

Sunday, we went to church as usual. Ellis Ann wore a dress that I wore when i was little. I took some pictures of her in it.


Now, I am the usual mom that can't stand for her baby to cry. But sometimes, when I know it is for no reason, it is a little funny. Ellis Ann has gotten a little spoiled. She likes to be held and to look around and see everything. Sometimes when you put her down, this is what we get.....

But then 1 minute later, she realized everything was ok. And she could have fun sitting in the chair too:)

I feel spring right around the corner. That makes me happy.

Let it Snow

I'm sure everyone had so much fun in the snow. We did as well. I really wish it would snow like that once every year. Or at least every other year. I am glad it does not snow all the time, and since it doesn't, it is a unique thing which makes it so exciting and brings out the kid in all of us. If it would snow at least every other year, it would still be unique and we would get to have those experiences every now and then. For instance, I hope we have another snow like this one next year or the next so Ellis Ann can play in it. Anyways.............

we DID act like we were 12. We had great snow ball fights and we got an old knee board and pulled it behind the four wheeler.

this is my precious little niece Ellie with me and Ellis Ann. Ellie and her mom had just built a snow man and Ellie stood still for just a second before she started running in circles again. :)

Ellis Ann seemed to like the snow. She was trying to eat what was on her face. She took some really good pictures, but then got tired of it and we had to go in. But I LOVE this one of her with a big smile on her face.

Ellis Ann is playing with Papa. They do this a lot. Papa calls it skydiving because she usually has her legs stretched up and her arms back and it looks like she is skydiving. She doesn't spit up very often, but it would be quite funny if she decided to spit up at this time. :)
Ellis Ann slept in her crib for the first night last night. She naps in it all the time, but I still like her sleeping in the cradle next to our bed at night for selfish reasons. But last night, kinda on accident (i thought we were going to take a cat nap and she went out for good) she went to bed in the crib. She woke up around 12:00 as usual and went and got her and just brought her into our room. (It's just easier)
